Hybrids: An Amalgam of the Ages

Main image Transcendent Unity: The Celestial Visor

The work

Hybrids: An Amalgam of the Ages was born from a lifelong fascination with the entwined paths of human consciousness and extraterrestrial/dimensional contact. These works, the fruit of over a year-long journey through procedural digital sorcery, reflect an amalgam of the ages—where ancient wisdom converges with the future’s untold possibilities.

The series is 42 portraits of alien/human hybrid beings, available as prints and as a large-format art book at hybrids.art.

The artist

John Anderson is an artist, and experiencer, living in Modica, Sicily. From the darkrooms at West Surrey College of Art and Design and Arizona State University, he studied photography, built lasers and made holograms. He then spent fourteen years at AT&T Bell Laboratories and earned a Master of Science from Northwestern University. From there Anderson moved early into digital photography and generative computer algorithms and today engages with generative AI through intentional collaboration. Anderson’s foundational proposition is that the computer is the camera.
